Frequently Asked Questions

  • To see my full collections—including limited edition batches and seasonal favorites—stop by one of my upcoming shows or visit my studio in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Studio tours are appointment-only, so send me a message to arrange a time.

I also release a limited number of wheel-thrown pieces in my online store. Tap here to get notified when a new batch drops!

  • At this time, I’m focusing my energy on local shows, maker’s events, and limited edition online releases. You’re welcome to stop by my booth and see what’s available, or reach out if you have questions about a specific piece.

  • Yes! All pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe. But just like ceramic pieces you buy at the store, Raines Clayworks pieces will last longer if they’re hand washed with love.

  • I love participating in maker’s markets in Northeast Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Reach out to julia@rainesclayworks.com to talk details.

  • I would if I could! My new studio, deep in the rolling hills of Osage County, Oklahoma, is a tight fit for me and my pup, Dolce—and just a bit too close for comfort. But if you’re in the Tulsa area, connect with Third Street Clayworks. They do great work and offer classes for every level of skill and experience.

  • I’m Julia Raines—an artist, potter, graphic designer, and founder of Raines Clayworks. After seeing one too many bad mugs (scratchy bottoms and puny handles get me every time!), I launched my own studio in 2018 and began experimenting with rich glazes, custom stamps, and beautifully practical forms.

Over the past several years, I’ve had the honor of connecting with hundreds of customers, local businesses, and fellow makers online and through shows across Northeast Oklahoma. They inspire me to continue imagining, creating, and telling stories, one piece at a time.

When I’m not at a maker’s show or wheel-throwing a new piece, you can find me tending to our Osage County homestead with my husband and our loyal pup, Dolce.

Shipping

  • Oh no! Shipping pottery is always a risky business. Contact me and we will make sure you get a replacement piece.

  • I pack and ship orders every Monday. If you need an order delivered quickly, send me a message to ask about upgrading to expedited shipping. I am happy to accommodate last-minute shoppers whenever I can.

  • I currently ship to anywhere in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. International shipping is not available at the moment.

  • Absolutely! If you’re local to the Tulsa area, you can pick up your order at my studio in Skiatook on any Monday and save the shipping. Check the “Local Pickup” box when you check out and you’ll get details on where and when.

  • Hey neighbor! As a thank-you for supporting my local business, check “Local Delivery” at checkout (after you input your Skiatook-based address!), and I’ll drop your order off on your doorstep the following Monday.

Returns & Exchanges

  • I want you to be obsessed with your pottery. If for any reason it wasn’t love at first sight, send me a message within 30 days of delivery. I’m unable to offer a refund on any items returned in less than like-new condition, but if you send me back a like-new piece, I will happily provide you with store credit for the full purchase price. Original and return shipping costs are not refundable.
